Review: I had the pleasure of watching a preview for and thought it was a good superhero movie. It follows the superhero formula but that expectation. Many references to comics and other Marvel movies. Many comic book references and foreshadowing that I probably can not even write here but will excite the most comic book fans. In fact, Howard Stark plays a prominent role in this film and you can see where Tony Stark gets its beauty. The film really captures the patriotic spirit that permeated the U.S. during WW2. The film itself is almost like one of those military recruitment ads it shows. It is full of flag-waving patriotism. But you should probably expect to go to a movie called Captain America.Chris Evans is a good Captain America and downplays any flashiness associated with him as the Human Torch. CGI effects that show him as a skinny twig is slippery. He carries the risk with him throughout the film if he gets beaten up physically or emotionally. The rest of the cast fill their roles well especially Tommy Lee Jones as the crusty but lovable Colonel and Hugo Weaving as the evil baddie bent on wold domination. The two play their character the way you expect them. While I was waiting the whole time for Hugo Weaving to say Mr. Anderson. The bizarre twist is that Captain America sidekick from the comics, Bucky Barnes, is more difficult and more mature than Except as expected. Many one-liners throughout the film that drew chuckles from the audience. You also get a lot of action and explosions always a crowd favorite. Stylistically, its very similar to Iron Man. In general, this is a fun comic book adaptation that really adds dazzle to build up steam with The Avengers. Good job.
